We Started LPR Because Houston Homeowners Deserved Better
The story of LPR Mitigation Services starts with frustration.
We'd seen it too many times: Houston families dealing with the worst moments of their lives — a burst pipe during the 2021 freeze, a flooded home after Harvey, a kitchen fire that spread to the attic — and then dealing with a restoration process that made everything worse.
Generic national franchises dispatching whoever was available. Crews without real construction knowledge guessing at the extent of damage. Insurance claims left entirely to homeowners to navigate on their own. Jobs marked "complete" that left hidden moisture behind walls. Families fighting their insurance companies alone, accepting lowball settlements because they didn't know they could say no.
We knew construction. We knew roofing. We knew what real damage looked like inside a structure — not just on the surface. And we knew the insurance claims process well enough to know that most homeowners were leaving thousands of dollars on the table because nobody was fighting in their corner.
So we built the company we wished existed.
What Makes LPR Different — And Why It Matters
We're not like the national franchises. Here's what that means for you.
We're not a franchise.
We don't buy a name and a playbook from a national corporation. LPR Mitigation Services is locally owned and operated, which means our decisions are made here in Houston, by people who live in the same communities we serve.
We built from a construction foundation.
The people leading LPR don't just know restoration — they know construction and roofing. That means when we assess damage, we see it as builders see it: what's compromised structurally, what's salvageable, what the repair actually requires. That knowledge produces more accurate scopes, better restoration outcomes, and stronger insurance documentation.
We put an insurance claims specialist in every job.
This is the thing we're most proud of — and the thing that makes us genuinely unique in Greater Houston. Every restoration job LPR takes comes with an in-house expert who knows insurance policy language, knows adjuster tactics, and knows how to document and argue a claim for maximum recovery. You don't pay extra. They're part of the team.
We go above and beyond on customer service.
This sounds like something every company says. We mean it specifically: we communicate clearly and consistently throughout every job. We answer calls. We explain what we're doing and why. We don't disappear between site visits. We don't mark jobs complete until the customer is satisfied. After seeing what poor customer service looks like in this industry, we made a deliberate commitment to be the opposite.
Our Commitment to the Communities We Serve
LPR Mitigation Services serves families and businesses across five counties: Harris, Montgomery, Fort Bend, Galveston, and Chambers. This is our home. These are our neighbors.
When a major storm hits the region — and in Houston, they always come — our team mobilizes across the entire service area. We've helped families in Katy recover from frozen pipe floods. We've worked in Galveston after storm surge events. We've responded to industrial fires in Pasadena and mold emergencies in The Woodlands. Every job, every community, the same standard of care.
We know what it's like to live in a flood-prone city with aging housing stock and an insurance industry that doesn't always play fair. We built LPR to be the resource we knew Houston needed.
Our Promise to Every Customer
- We will respond immediately. Day or night, when you call, someone answers and someone is on the way.
- We will tell you the truth. If the damage is minor, we'll tell you that. If filing a claim is not in your best interest, we'll tell you that too. Honest assessment earns more trust than padding scopes.
- We will fight for what you're owed. Our insurance claims specialist does not accept the first offer, the first denial, or the first "that's not covered" without a fight backed by documentation and industry knowledge.
- We will do the work right. Not fast-and-done. Not surface-level. Right — with construction-grade expertise and verification testing that confirms the job is actually complete before we leave.
- We will be there when it's over. Every job ends with a walkthrough and your sign-off. We don't consider a job finished until you do.
Credentials & Certifications
Every credential listed here is current and verifiable. We invest in ongoing education because restoration science evolves — and our customers deserve a team that keeps up.
IICRC Certified Firm
Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. Our technicians hold active IICRC certifications in Water Restoration (WRT), Fire & Smoke Restoration (FSRT), and Applied Structural Drying (ASD).
TDLR Licensed — Mold Remediation
Licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for mold assessment and remediation. Texas requires this license to legally perform mold work — many competitors skip it.
General Liability + Workers' Comp
Comprehensive general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage on every job. This protects your property and your household from any liability during the restoration process.
In-House Insurance Claims Specialist
Not outsourced. Not optional. Every LPR job includes a dedicated claims specialist who understands policy language, supplemental claim procedures, and adjuster negotiation.
Construction & Roofing Background
LPR was founded by professionals with years of construction and roofing experience. This means structural assessments are done by people who have built structures — not just cleaned them.
EPA Lead-Safe Certified
For work on homes built before 1978, our team follows EPA lead-safe work practices. This matters for fire and water damage restoration in Houston's older neighborhoods.
